Digital TV Cabling
The most important thing to note with any digital TV antenna installation is the the interconnecting hardware used. All cable should be RG6 quad shield, and all connectors should be F-type.
The use of quad shield coax cabling for the antenna installation and any fly leads will ensure that you will get a clean signal to the digital TV. STARS Installations recommends and uses RG6 quad shield cabling for all antenna installations.
The use of a lower grade cable such as RG59 will leave your system prone to electrical interference and noise. This interference can come from your microwave or any motorised electrical appliance. This will result in poor picture quality.
Therefore while RG6 quad shield cable may be a little more expensive than the lower grade cable, it is well worth the expense to ensure that you can watch your digital TV without any problems.
